Dießenbach (renatured)

The riverbed running south below the large reservoir was extensively restored to its natural state in 2020 and as a result is visible again after almost 100 years.

A lot of work has been undertaken to recreate about 660 metres of the Dießenbach river up to where it flows into the Altbach. The aim was to design a mountain stream typical of natural areas as part of the park and to create biological consistency within the water. You will also find plenty of seating to sit back and relax for a while. Discreet lighting gives you a relaxing area to stroll through and enjoy even at dusk. There are also two bridges made from our own wood to provide a comfortable way to cross the Dießenbach river.
