Location and setting

Our location in the hills at the foot of the Bavarian Forest is a unique selling point. You will be enchanted by the terraced hillside location with views to the south over the hills and the long evening rays of sunshine.

The Upper Bavarian Forest is a tourist region and the gateway to the Bavarian Forest. The region is situated between Deggendorf in the south and Viechtach to the north west. The UNESCO World Heritage City of Regensburg is nearby. There are approximately 850 km of signposted hiking trails in the region. The Upper Bavarian Forest is part of the wider Bavarian Forest, which together with the Bohemian Forest in the Czech Republic is one of the largest contiguous forest areas in Europe.
