Dießenbach (renatured)

Edelwies Blume

The riverbed running south below the large reservoir has just been extensively renatured and as a result is visible again after almost 100 years. A lot of work has been undertaken to recreate about 430 metres of the Dießenbach river up to where it flows into the Altbach. The aim was to design a mountain stream typical of natural areas as part of the park and to create biological consistency within the water. There will soon be small bridges and lovingly designed play areas for our smaller visitors to play on and with the water. There will also be wooden benches and tables for you to rest here for a while. Subtle lighting in combination with the new promenade around the large reservoir you with a relaxed area to stroll around and enjoy.
