Location and topography
Our location at the foot of the Bavarian Forest is a unique selling point. You will be enchanted by the hillside location with views to the south over the hills and the long evening rays of sunshine.
The Vordere Bavarian Forest is a tourist region and the gateway to the Bavarian Forest. The region is situated between Deggendorf in the south and Viechtach to the north west. The UNESCO World Heritage City of Regensburg is nearby. There are approximately 850 km of signposted hiking trails in the region. The Vordere Bavarian Forest is part of the wider Bavarian Forest, which together with the Bohemian Forest in the Czech Republic is one of the largest contiguous forest areas in Europe. The Bavarian Forest National Park is in the process of changing from a commercial forest to a primary forest.
